Natures' Buffet

Youth Astray (Transferred from 6/19/2009 myspace blog)

We are a society and a culture encouraged to rely on someone else for advice....
Rather than a people taught to rely on ourselves for our needs.
And of course in this complex world it is impossible to be intelligent in all the subjects that we need to choose from and that is why the intelligent ones greatly limit their involvement with this 'complex world' and hang on the outskirts, involved more in the natural world.
Nature ask and demands nothing from those who take from it, however the feasts only lasts until the buffet has been raped and then there is nothing left to eat. Is that clear enough?
The nature and truth is... beyond your concrete structures, drywalled boxes and mown yards, lies a world and a teacher that offers everything you slave for.... for free...

True Thought

Truth (From 3/15/2007 tribe.net blog)

This evening I was stirred and brought to a level of awareness for a moment of higher truth. There is a statement that thought is cause that floats around in the communities that I associate with and for a moment this evening, the power of this thought became real…
Imagine for a moment the implication of this truth….
What if every thought that you had(conscious and unconscious) became real in the moment that you had the thought.
I am rich, I am happy, I am satisfied, I love myself, I love you.. now also think about the full range of thoughts….. such as, when eating the 3rd large cookie in a row you have the thought that you should not be eating this many cookies and instantly you severely bite your tongue, leaving you nearly incapable of eating another cookie, or when that person cuts you off in traffic and you think with emotion.. that person should not be allowed to drive and they instantly veer off the road and crash into a telephone pole breaking their neck and are left incapable of driving for the rest of their life…..
Contimplate this reality for a moment….
An old friend once told me that there will come a time when we will lose what we know to be freedom.. which translates to me to mean.. that there will come a time when we as humans will have no freedom from the responsibility of what we create.
We are creators and our thoughts are the producers of our reality.. all you have to do is pay attention to reality for a moment to see this as truth….. If you have a negative thought in your mind, you attract negativity, you have a positive thought in your mind you attract positivity, if you have a neutral thought in your mind you attract neutrality, you have a whole assortment of positive, negative and neutral thoughts in your mind you attract a whole assortment of different things at the same moment(aka chaos). This is true for every being in existence.. Uniquely though, humans are the only apparent creatures who have the ability to create these thoughts at will and thus are truly the only animals on this planet who are responsible for their thoughts.
And in universal truth there is also a law that states: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, this is also labeled as the Law of Karma.. what you create will be returned to you.. you reap what you sow.. do unto others as you would have done unto you….. really contemplate this, for it is the way it is.. there has simply been a delay and a distance in human consciousness from this reality.. and that distance and delay is diminishing at a rapid rate…. Effects of what we cause are becoming more and more instant…. (supposedly predicted to peak @ 2012)
As a prophet (perceiver of probability), I see that we are coming into an age where there is less and less distance and time between the point of cause (thought) and the point of effect (reality).. now the question and a point for contemplation is: as an individual, how much control do you have of your thoughts and what you cause? How much unconscious mental activity occurs in our mind (because the unconscious has the same effect on reality as the conscious) How well prepared are you for this reality? And what action are taking right now in you everyday life to become prepared to face this truth? Prepared or not, you will come to face this truth.. in the bible, this is referred to as judgement day, however, there is no Christ or winged beings that will be judging you, it is only you, your causes and your responses to those causes that determined how you will be judged and will determine the outcome of your existence. And every moment is judgement day, every breath is judgement day. There is no escape, there is no where one can run, for one is all and all is one. There is simply acceptance and preparation. Awareness and expansion. Truth and reality and in the end only Truth.
And now I step down off my soapbox and become a normal red headed me……..

Too Much of A Good Thing

Too Much of A Good Thing (From 3/7/2007 tribe.net blog)

When Achaan Chah arrived at a new American meditation center, the many Western students there were quickly charmed and impressed by his teaching. He was clear and direct, yet loving and humorous as he poked fun at people's fears and attachments. It was exciting to have such a skillful and famous master visit. The new stories, golden-robed monks, and fresh expressions of Dharma were all wonderful. "Please do not go as soon as you planned, do try to stay a long time," the students requested. "We are so happy to have you."

Achaan Chah smiled. "Of course, things are nice when they are new. But if I stay and teach and make you work, you will tire of me, won't you? How is your practice when the excitement wears off? You would be bored with me before long. How does this restless, wanting mind stop? Who can teach you that?"

A Proper Perspective

A Proper Persepctive (From 7/14/2009 myspace blog)

If, by giving up lesser comforts,
A greater happiness is to be found,
The wise should give up their lesser comforts
In view of the greater happiness.

How foolish to seek comfort
Through someone else's pain.
There is no escape from the trap of animosity.

The indolent and negligent
Accrue unwholesome mind states
By doing what should not be done,
And failing to do what should be done.

Unwholesome mind states disappear
Among those who are mindful of the nature of the body,
Who stop doing what is right not be done,
And fulfill what needs to be done.

Wanna Believe

Wanna Believe (From 9/3/2009 myspace blog)

The common stimiulation of this world has never really peaked my interest. And now, really not at all.
I wanna believe at something deeper beneath the surface, that behind this flesh face there is a purpose deeper and more connected then my fleshy self to something greater. But what. What could be greater than the chance to live, right?
I seem to remember a world much life this one, though with clean air and inhabitants that appreciated and maintained it.
Truth whispers in my ear reminding me that it is what it is. Existance simply is... everything that it stands for is a product of the human imagination. Every meaning, reason, definition, created in the mind of man and spread to the masses.
It is what one chooses to make of it, if one chooses to make anything of it.. and what is being asked is that people choose to sacrifice their lives and choose to truly make nothing of this life.
Humans understanding and grounded in nothingness in the world I know are lacking, so it seems a natural cause and effect that if more people embodied nothing then everything that is would come to balance.. makes sense, right?
But I don't want to spend my existance as nothing when there are all these cool things to be and roles to play...
We are free to live our lives as we choose, however we can only sustain through choices that benefit ourselves in relationship to the common good.

Friendship

Friendship (Written 3/4/2007 on Tribe.net)

The last few months of my life have really caused me to look at and work to understand what friendship is. How do I know who my friends are and what does friendship mean to me..
....and I have discovered that my true friends are the people who are dedicated to knowing and becoming friends with themselves. The people who dedicate their lives to expanding, questioning, challenging, applying their new awarenesses, re-arranging, and pinching themselves constantly to keep themselves awake..... Ever in the work of improving their lives, expanding their awareness, becoming more comfortable with the truth of who and what they are... releasing the patterns and habits that keep them blocked and living in vicious unproductive cycles...
which means I have good friends in my life that I know and interact with and I automatically have 1,000's of friends whom I have not yet and may never physically meet...
And the reason that these people are what I consider to be my friends... is...... they are friends and becoming ever better friends with themselves.. giving to themselves friendship, giving to themselves love, appreciation, joy, happiness, challenge, and beauty consistently with the choices they make in every moment of their lives..
because what we give to ourselves, what we as individuals share with ourselves, what we put into our body, what thoughts we hold in our mind, what choices we make and what habits and patterns define our reality, ...... is what we HAVE to give to others.... and when we are friends with ourselves then all we have is friendship to give to others.... thus, these people are already/automatically my friends...
And there is no escape from us, there is no vacation, there is no later, there is right now and only right now to work this work and I love being in a life that is filled with others with like mind... and as I am re-aligning myself with this way of life.... I have observed that people who had been big parts of my life simply fade and dissolve away.... and what I am left with are friends, I run into them at the gas stations, on the street, everywhere that I am......
So it all boils down to: friendship is a state of mind cultivated in the time when I am alone. Independent of any person, place, thing, hobby, activity, career, etc.... It is a lifetime(s) work and there is no end to this work and at the same time, there is no limit to it's reward....

Mastery

When one focuses their attention and practice upon mastery of the microcosm that is self, one will nturally inherit mastery of the macrocosm that is eternity
.

When one focuses their attention and practice upon mastery of the macrocosm that is everything, one naturally tends to become lost and disheartened.
